Scam Detector is a free app that exposes in detail over 550 of the most notorious scams in the world. Learn how they work and protect yourself.
This app is produced by the creators of the internationally acclaimed film "419: The Nigerian Scam" and is now an official partner of the Better Business Bureau. Scam Detector also received the 2012 Consumer Champions Award, given every year by the Government of Alberta, Canada.
The scams in this app are grouped into 9 categories, depending on the industry:

The app features real-time content updates. You can also use the Search feature to look up anything you think might be a fraudulent circumstance. For example, if you are going on vacation to Thailand and want to know what to expect there, just type in the name of your destination and all relevant scams will appear.
The Search feature is optimized to find the words within the scam descriptions, so if someone were to approach you - say, with a very tempting offer to earn big money working at home – the app will find not only the Work at Home scam, but all related scams.
